Ultra Seam US-200C Standing Seam Panel

When aesthetic requirements call for a curved roof, the Ultra Seam US-200C Curved Panel is the system of choice. The mechanically seamed panels can be curved to a 19” inch radius.

US-100FP FlushPanel Wall & Soffit System

The Ultra Seam Flush Panel system is ideal for gable walls and soffits where a smooth flat surface is desired. Horizontal flanges of 1-1/8" or 1-1/2” seams interlock and provide attachment surfaces for concealed fasteners. The panel seam combined with attachment flanges strengthens the panel to provide good spanning capacity. Fewer supporting structural members needed for high gables and wider soffits means lower installation cost. Available in twelve inch and sixteen inch widths.

UltraSeam US-200SB Standing Seam Panel

For a distinctive bold rib appearance, the Ultra Seam Snap Batten is the system of choice. Battens are attached securely with locking clips over a standing seam US-200 profile (see page 4). Wherever concealed gutters, or a “fold-under look”, are desired (see photo) batten covers are easily installed.

Ultra Seam US-100CS Standing Seam Panel

Cap Seam panel has a single upstanding leg on each side. After a panel is laid, the clips are installed up against the panel leg, with half of each clip folded over the leg. The adjacent panel is then laid up against the clips, and the other half of each clip is folded down. Finally the batten cap is snapped down over all clips in the seam along the entire length of the panel. The panels are now securely attached with the completed seam enclosing all clips. Seams require no machine closing and rapid installation means low in-place cost. Also available in 1-1/2" rib height (US-150CS). Cap Seam panel can also be curved or tapered. These panels create an architecturally desirable look without jeopardizing the integrity of the roof panel. The installation of the curved cap seam panel (US-100 CCS) and the tapered cap seam panel (US-100 TCS) is the same as the straight cap seam panel (US-100 CS).

Ultra Seam US-150C Curved Panel

When aesthetic requirements call for a curved roof, the Ultra Seam US-150C Curved Panel is the system of choice. The mechanically seamed panels can be curved to a 19” inch radius.

Ultra Seam US-150 panel

The Ultra Seam standing seam system utilizes state of the art technology for roof integrity and positive weather-tightness. The Ultra Seam US-150 panel has been extensively tested in both steel and aluminum, and meets the stringent requirements of the “Standard Test Method for Structural Performance of SSMRS by Uniform Static Air Pressure Difference,” which has been adopted as ASTM E-1592. Seams require machine closing, by either hand or power seamers, both available on a job rental basis. The seaming process completely encloses and seals all clips and fasteners for the most watertight seal available. The US-150 panel, in addition to the standard 90-degree seam, can be double-locked to obtain a 180 degree architectural profile. The standing seam system is especially suitable where roof slopes are long and/or low, and unusually long panels are required. Available in various gauges of galvanized steel, galvalume, zincalume, aluminum, copper, zinc and stainless steel. Regardless of which material is selected, the optional stiffening ribs or striations are highly recommended in order to reduce the slight surface waviness of the metal known as “oil-canning.” Note: “oil-canning” is a natural phenomenon inherent in sheet metal products and therefore is not cause for rejection of the material.

The US-150LS Profiles

Ribs of adjacent Lok Seam panels snap together, enclosing the concealed clips and provide a positive metal-to-metal lock. In turn, the enclosed clips positively secure the adjacent panels to the roof structure. Seams require no machine closing, yet are continuously and securely locked in place. By eliminating the need for mechanical seaming, installation time and cost can be greatly reduced. Also available in 1-1/2" rib height (US-150LS). The US-150LS has a slightly different locking detail from the US-175. (see below)

Retrofit Roofing Systems

Sloped roofs beat flat roofs every time! Ponding water and roofs with internal drains can cause structural problems and require continual maintenance. These problems can be greatly reduced or eliminated by adding a slight pitch and installing an Ultra Seam standing seam metal roof. For more information on adding slope and insulation to flat roofs contact us today for a complete design booklet.
Although photographed here on a sunny day, this newly installed and slightly sloping Ultra Seam Standing Seam Metal Roof would have been as free of “ponding” on the same rainy day that the old, flat roof was photographed.

Retrofit Metal Roofing Systems

The concept consists of an Ultra Seam metal roofing system supported on an engineered metal framing system, which also creates the desired slope. Low cost addition of insulation is optional. Due to the systems extremely light weight, the new assembly can usually be installed right over the existing roofing without tear-off. Introduction of slope to the flat roof allows re-routing of drainage to eliminate troublesome internal drains.

Regrofit Systems

Put slope to your flat roof with our Retrofit Systems

In recent years a new metal re-roofing concept has been developed for retrofitting existing leaking flat roofs. With this new system, typical metal roof benefits of classic neat appearance, wide color choice, light weight and long lasting leak-free service life have become a “fountain of youth” for many older buildings.

Notice how the churches architecture has been unified and strengthened with two additional elements: a sloping roof over its low wing, and a harmonizing spire.
